A Renegade Mailing List

What do you do when your list goes rogue?

Today I’m doing deep analysis of my list – getting the who, what, why, and where of list responses to my offers and information. It’s clear at first blush that my list is heavily populated by ‘learners’. That’s my term for people who gather how-to information and do not buy.

In my experience these are folks who may ‘like’ to engage in an Internet business, but hold back from getting the training and tools necessary for online success. Having these folks on my list is not a bad thing. They help build my brand. They are the first to open a message. First to forward my messages. And they are the first to visit recommended sites.

My solution to this non-problem is putting the learners  in a special list. I send special messages to them, bringing them along with information they want and obviously need. They will self identify as buyers as time goes by. There is no need to send them offers they will ignore. I believe that only clogs their inbox and may create bad will between me and them.

How to Build Relationships with Popular Bloggers (Even If It Scares You Silly)

Here’s a post that caused me to read it more than once. I enjoy good writing, especially when it flows with sensible tips how to actually accomplish something.

A cardinal rule of writing is to read . . . often . . . and read good content well presented. That’s also true for developing an effective blog. A number of years ago my employer let someone go because of his misplaced idea of writing for himself not the reader. Writing for an audience of just one is silly.

Whether they speak of it or not great writers have the reader in mind. That’s an absolute.

Here’s where I get off my main topic for a moment. One tip I want to pass along is when running your spell checker make sure the Flesch – Kincaid reading ease and grade level rankings are turned on.

7 Steps to Mastering Internet Traffic

thumbs up - down

Are there really “Secrets” to mastering Internet traffic?

You bet there are. Without them Internet money-making rock stars would be just like the rest of us . . . trying to make a few bucks online.

How did these ‘rock stars’ learn these secrets?

The same way Thomas Edison invented the light bulb. They experimented. Top earners are self taught. They are the pioneers blazing paths to solid Internet incomes.

My advice to the rest of us is: Buy a training course! Get one taught by an Internet top earner. The top earners make $1,000,000+ every year. Some make much, much more that one million a year. They are the 1% of the 3% of people making money online.

If you want to make money online do you want to learn from some schmo you never heard of or do you want to learn from the folks paid gobs of money to do one-day workshops around the world? Do you know some of these people charge up to $25,000 for just ONE HOUR of private consultation?

One hour of their time is worth more than most of us make online in a year! And skeptics deride sales videos showing them riding around in $100,000 cars. Or vacationing at luxury resorts. Or living in multi-million dollar homes.

Here’s another secret: those fancy cars are often prizes for high sales of one product or another. Those photos at luxury resorts are often taken at events these top earners are paid to attend. Yep, when you make lots of money people give you things. How about that?
