How To Get More Customers

 

In conversation with associates recently a long forgotten book came to mind. Our discussion involved how target customers accept information.

I’m told we hear 20,000 – 30,000 every day. We spend more than half our day listening. Yet we remember only 20% or so of what we hear.

All of us filter what we hear. We actually tune out much of what people say to us. We automatically reject what we do not believe. Whether or not what we believe is true we reject opposing views.

How we learn is complex. What we remember and why we remember it is also complex. As marketers it is our job to break through the voice of judgement (VOJ) telling a target customer to reject something different from what they believe.

Breaking through that VOJ involves ‘positioning’. ‘Positioning’ is our effort to have our offer viewed as having a clear, unique, and advantageous position in the consumer’s mind.

email marketing - Copy Noah Kagan and our friends at SumoMe bring us the best idea list I’ve seen for writing email subject lines that get more opens.

After looking at this list (below) I tweaked previously sent emails, added new subject lines based on suggestions (below) and SHAZAM . . . those retread emails got more opens than when originally sent.

We can always do better marketing our jams and jellies, especially when sending offers to our list(s). After all, the money is in the list – right? And email is the cheapest component of our marketing mix – yes it is.

The subject line gets the email opened. The opening line gets the email read. Pay more attention – it only takes a moment or two – to your subject lines.

You Can’t Do Everything At Once

 

Most of us use affiliate marketing to launch an online business. There are many bits and pieces of advice how best to do that.

Some suggest a simple web site promoting a product or product niche. Others say advertising via Google or Bing is the way to online riches. Another camp believes in email marketing; building a list and marketing to that list.

All three and other approaches work well. However you cannot do all at once. Each is a skill some develop into an art form. The top Internet money-makers usually use a combination. They’ve developed large email lists over time. Their followers open each email and often buy the offers.

All You Need To Know About Money

 

You have it or you don’t!

 

There are two ways you get money.

Earn it or steal it.

Some people try to dream their way to money. The dreamers buy a lottery ticket now and then. Some buy lots of lottery tickets. Their odds of winning are 20,000,000 to one, or so.

You have a better chance of being struck by lightning or a falling meteor than winning any lottery.

Assuming you don’t want to steal it think about earning it.

Does a desire to have more money burn inside you? Then you are already on your way to getting it.

But you have to work for it. Not working a J-O-B. The money I’m talking about if much more than you can earn at a J-O-B. I’m talking about FREEDOM money.

Do you truly desire freedom from worry? Do you burn inside to be free of debt. Do you ache to have enough money for great vacations? Or paying for college? Or getting the retirement you deserve?

There’s nothing wrong with dreaming of a better life. You have to act to achieve your dreams. You have to do something to get what you desire.

The question is, “Are you acting on that desire?” Are you doing what it takes to make the kind of money others only dream about?
