’10 Ways’ to Profit From Your Blog Posts …

I own and operate many niche marketing web sites. Some may be considered blogs. Others are pure eCommerce sites.

JoeAro.com is my primary ‘how to do business on the Internet’ blog. This is where I post information helpful to others wanting to earn money online.

A key money-making blog tool is banner ads. Click on the ads on this page and you go to an offer. As an affiliate marketer I then get a commission on  your purchase from the seller. You pay no more using my link. I just earn money if you do.

Many people start blogs to express views on one subject or another. Most blogs start with great enthusiasm and then die out from misuse. Blogs with at least one post a month are in the minority.

How often you post to your blog is up to you. Some folks post daily or even many times a day. Usually those posts are short. I post when I have something of value to put online.

Many Internet money-makers post very frequently to private Facebook groups. That keeps their fans tuned in. These folks are usually among the top Internet earners. Their video posts to social media are shared widely.

I use video in support of my online businesses. I have several Facebook fan pages, also. Along with Twitter, Google+, Pinterest, Tumbler, and other social sites I, too, have several YouTube channels. Now, you won’t find most of those accounts under my name. They are usually found via niche market identifications.

If you have a blog and want to get started making money from it here’s a very good article that hit my inbox this morning.  I’d give you the author, but he/she was not identified, as it came from a 3rd party.

Read on and enjoy.

You Are Going To Fail Unless . . .

Don’t let failure get you down.

Don’t get discouraged when starting affiliate marketing. Usually the first things you try will fail. They are a learning experience. Do not give up.

Thomas Edison famously failed 10,000 times trying to invent a working lightbulb. He looked at it this way, “I learned 10,000 ways how not to do it”.

Think of starting an affiliate site like learning a sport. You are going to be somewhat terrible at the beginning. Whether you try skiing, or golf, or skeet shooting, or playing the violin . . . you are not going to be Olympic quality at the beginning.

There are no naturals in anything. Some of us may learn faster or understand nuances easier. Some of us may progress more quickly than others. But we all have to learn.

Do You Have A Tribe?

Working online means many hours in isolation. We sit at our laptop or desktop working at our online business. Usually at home or a handy place like Starbucks. Getting work done requires concentration and blocking out chatter and other people.

We’re social animals by nature and staying in touch digitally isn’t 100% satisfying. Our digital friends are part of our tribe – or we’re part of a larger tribe together. But nothing beats face-to-face contact. Shared experiences bring great rewards.

We all benefit from association with the right people. Who are the right people? How do we meet them? How do they add dimension to our lives? What are the qualities of those you want to have in your circles?

When To Find a New Web Host

You can make money online without a web site. However, if you want a sustainable business that delivers regular deposits to your bank account a domain is a necessity.

That’s particularly true for niche and affiliate marketers. They need landing pages for offers. A well put together site trumps simple landing pages. That’s my opinion. Others may have a different take on the subject.

So, having one or more domains means securing a reliable host. HostGator is my choice for solid hosting services.

Most of us sign up with a web host and don’t think about it after that. In an ideal world that would be the way to go. We do not live and work in an ideal world.

I usually do an internal audit of my service providers every couple of months. I do this sometimes sooner. If clicks or sales drop off I check my engine carefully. Q1 of this year is approaching. I’m setting aside a day to perform diagnostics on my sales systems. Routine auditing of my service providers is a necessity. That’s not a nice-to-do-sometime-task.

My livelihood’s at risk here. The downside is losing sales. It’s worse losing long time customers. And it’s difficult to repair damage to my reputation. The upside is keeping things humming. During audit I often make improvements to funnels.

Let’s look at web hosts and how to tell when is it time to make a change. Too many stay with suppliers too long. This can be exceptionally harming to your site and online presence.

Here are ten signs it’s best for you to change your web host. Your site will benefit and your business will prosper.

4 Things To Give Up For Success

if-you-can-dream-it-you-can-do-it-walt-disney

Take a moment and think about where you are. Not the street you are on. Think about where you are in life.

How does where you are match with where you wanted to be? I think about this often. It is especially important to me as the year winds down.

What were my plans last January? Am I where I planned to be? Did I achieve what I intended? If not, why not?

You have to give up what you are to be all you can be. That’s just common sense. Most people you value made many changes in their lives. The important changes were internal. They changed attitudes. They changed how life affected them. They determined the person they wanted to be and became that person.

Everyone has the ability to change. The question is, “What about me do I have to change?”
