Put More Muscle Into Your Online Business.
I’m posting today to emphasize the need to make your online presence more compelling to buyers. Regular readers know I’m in favor of strong SEO. Ads today do not, in my opinion, deliver the audience they once did.
Thank you for reading this post, don't forget to subscribe!Yes, I advertise. But my ad budgets are lower than last year. The reason is I’m getting better results from organically generated leads. That means strong SEO. And I’ve increased my reach and frequency on social media platforms.
Give your business online presence more energy and vitality. Use these tips and get a leg up on competitors and improve SEO ranking.

#1 Increase Blog Post Frequency
There are several ways to do this easily. If you enjoy writing you have no problem. I usually write long-form blog posts. If you write long-form break down a post into several bite-sized pieces of 300 – 500 words. Publish each segment in sequence. Publish at least two times a week.
Submit each post to social media sites. Publish a post on social media more than once. Just change the subject line each time. Use a utility like Hoot Suite or Buffer to make social media posting easier. Always post to your Facebook business page. Also, post to FB groups with interest in your niche. Do the same for each socio platform with groups.
Share on each socio site more than once. Make sure your content is worth it and not merely spamming sales.
Here’s a tip to remove the content creation burden. If you have more than 50 posts on your site grab the oldest. Update it and republish it with the new date and subject line. Then follow my advice for sharing on socio media.
#2 Turn Blog Posts Into Videos
There are WP plugins turning blog posts into videos. I’ve tried a few but prefer Lumen5.com.
Visit the site and discover how easy it is to use. Lumen5 sucks your blog text into a video converter, adds music and graphics. Then it renders a finished video. You can add your voice-over if you wish.

The video text was taken automatically by Lumen5 and rendered into a nice video presentation. I edited the text and changed some of the images – all within Lumen5. (I am not a Lumen5 affiliate and receive no compensation if you subscribe).
Like my posts, I added this video to all platforms available to me.
#3 Publish an audio version of your post.
It is a good idea to start a podcast. But you do not have to. Simply use a program like Audacity and record your blog post. Just read it in a friendly manner. Then post that recording to all social media sites available to you.
As I said Audacity is free to use. It has a shallow learning curve. I use it often.
If you need help getting started using audio or setting up a podcast click on this link.
Bonus Tip #1
You do not have to publish original material! I’m not suggesting you plagiarize another person’s work. You can share it provided you give full attribution to the originator and provide links to the original published item.
This is an especially good tactic when recording audio. Be sure to use words like, “I read an interesting item online today by (author name and site). He/She tells us a good way to earn money online is . . . “
Then simply read portions of the post in a friendly voice. Close by saying something like, “You may want to learn more from (author) and I suggest you click on the links attached to this recording.” You can also share published material in this manner on your blog.
Bonus Tip #2
If you do not have a written plan of action you’re leaving money on the table. Emphasize written. Nothing is real until it is in writing. Use a pen or pencil and write your plan. Studies prove doing this embeds the material in your brain better.
Don’t believe me? Use this link and learn for yourself. The article may provide information for your next blog post.
By organize I mean set a schedule for each step in your marketing program. Use self-imposed deadlines and specific milestones. Here’s an example: Let’s say you are promoting a public appearance – an entertainment act perhaps.
There is a specific date and time for the performance. A month out release an announcement of the performer coming to town. A few days later reissue the announcement with a twist in the headline or copy. Include a bio of the performer. A few days later start the advertising program. Every few days increase the frequency of ads. Keep the PR releases flowing.
Two weeks before the performance schedule an interview with the performer(s). One week out get more interviews on the schedule. Ramp up the ads and PR. Emphasize high ticket demand. The last 5 days have people (paid staff) call appropriate media asking about the performance.
Now, translate the above to today’s online product promotion. It is really no different than any other marketing effort.
Another Bonus
Each and every one of us needs help. The Internet changes so rapidly that virtually everything you learn today will be obsolete in a year. In olden times people gathered around a “cracker” barrel in the general store to discuss items of importance. That often included bits of their personal business.
Then people of like ideas often met at the local cafe or coffee shop sharing ideas on how to meet the day’s challenges. Today we may use Meetup to find like-minded people to help us unravel Internet business problems.
My bonus for you is a FREE silver membership in an online club that will definitely help you move your business up a notch. Click on this link for access to your FREE membership.
You can thank me later.
Confession
In my past life, I promoted arena entertainment, logging attendance records at major venues throughout the U.S., Canada, and Europe.
