How to Build Relationships with Popular Bloggers (Even If It Scares You Silly)

Here’s a post that caused me to read it more than once. I enjoy good writing, especially when it flows with sensible tips how to actually accomplish something.

A cardinal rule of writing is to read . . . often . . . and read good content well presented. That’s also true for developing an effective blog. A number of years ago my employer let someone go because of his misplaced idea of writing for himself not the reader. Writing for an audience of just one is silly.

Whether they speak of it or not great writers have the reader in mind. That’s an absolute.

Here’s where I get off my main topic for a moment. One tip I want to pass along is when running your spell checker make sure the Flesch – Kincaid reading ease and grade level rankings are turned on.

7 Steps to Mastering Internet Traffic

thumbs up - down

Are there really “Secrets” to mastering Internet traffic?

You bet there are. Without them Internet money-making rock stars would be just like the rest of us . . . trying to make a few bucks online.

How did these ‘rock stars’ learn these secrets?

The same way Thomas Edison invented the light bulb. They experimented. Top earners are self taught. They are the pioneers blazing paths to solid Internet incomes.

My advice to the rest of us is: Buy a training course! Get one taught by an Internet top earner. The top earners make $1,000,000+ every year. Some make much, much more that one million a year. They are the 1% of the 3% of people making money online.

If you want to make money online do you want to learn from some schmo you never heard of or do you want to learn from the folks paid gobs of money to do one-day workshops around the world? Do you know some of these people charge up to $25,000 for just ONE HOUR of private consultation?

One hour of their time is worth more than most of us make online in a year! And skeptics deride sales videos showing them riding around in $100,000 cars. Or vacationing at luxury resorts. Or living in multi-million dollar homes.

Here’s another secret: those fancy cars are often prizes for high sales of one product or another. Those photos at luxury resorts are often taken at events these top earners are paid to attend. Yep, when you make lots of money people give you things. How about that?

Not All Traffic Is Equal

Internet traffic

Here’s an excellent explanation of Direct vs Organic Traffic received this morning from SmartBugMedia.

It’s very hard gaining success with an online business without  targeted traffic directed to specific websites. Too often sources promising great traffic flow send the wrong targets to web sites just to earn their fee.

Not all traffic is equal. Your goal is traffic most likely to buy your product or want your information. You want to keep traffic engaged and eyes on your pages. That’s how you get ranking.

I believe good content takes care of SEO considerations. Yet, why not use all the tools available? You are responsible for your business success. You are responsible for revenue. Therefore, you are responsible for actively and properly engaging in the Internet marketplace. Yep, it all comes back to you.

Read what follows carefully. Understand these two distinct types of traffic. There’s a big difference between actually knowing something and simply understanding the subject surface. Read on and share this post with friends and associates. Also, follow me on Facebook Twitter Pinterest.

Hot-Hot-Hot Videos

online video Online videos are extremely hot online sales tools. This post introduces 13 sites for sharing your videos.

Did you know YouTube is the 2nd most used Internet search engine after Google. And YouTube is owned by Google.

The smallest of businesses and online marketers can become huge money makers with proper use of video. Online videos effectively grab attention for product sales and explaining ‘how-to’ on a variety of subjects. Text search information is great, but there’s nothing like seeing step-by-step instructions for installing software, or constructing a camp stove from discarded items.

Videos online shot and posted by average people like us celebrate life cycle events.  They take us on exciting adventures. Some introduce viewers to new and exciting ways to enrich ordinary lives. Today virtually everyone can be a successful online movie producer. That means you can promote your online business, sell your products, and establish your credibility easily via uploaded video.

A key is don’t be boring! When you are original and creative there is no telling how often your video will be shared and go viral. Remember that young international music superstar Justin Bieber jump-started his career when an unknown Canadian lad posting self-produced music videos.

I use my smartphone for videos. However I probably will get a Go-Pro pretty soon, starting with the basic model then moving up.
